Scepter Of Honor

Where were You,
When I needed you the most,
When there was Darkness all round , I was totally lost.

Where were You,
When there was no one for me,
When I bore all scorn,so patiently.

Where were You,
When I was groping in fear,
When my end seemed so inevitably near.

Where were You,
When the ever fickle Fortune turned Her back on me,
And I had to tread along ,so tirelessly,so hopelessly.

Where were You,
When it hurt so bad, yet I fought so hard,
And despite it all, I was so deeply scarred.

Where were You,
With the Lights fading away, the Devil eyeing me so lecherously,
And troubles mounted on,so relentlessly.

But amidst this all, said a voice in me,
That bruised and battered, although I might be,
I shall rise again, shattering all Fetters of reality.

For within me does a Warrior reside,
Crusading day and night, just to salvage my Pride,
Returning to me,my Leonine Stride.

The cycle of life, you fail to understand,
For a time shall come, when I'm back in command.
With the reigns slipping from your clasp, so quickly,
I shall reclaim my Scepter of Honor so effortlessly!

silence b4 the storm!!!!
i guess it is true n appropriate in every human beings life at 1 r the other moment.........ter r times like storms which will pass but will surely leave some impact as the storm does which is beautifully depicted by ma dear frnd here .......but as he said tere is only 1 possible way f new beginning i.e. nly by the end r destruction f the old entity......n it is true ....even a star in the universe has a death day........n as i say "rust 2 lust"is the nly possible way!!!!!!

The poem sounds a bit vengeful if I read it as a whole. Or perhaps I am a bit confused about the 'you' in the poem. I presume it must be addressed to the 'poet's' parents because it talks about 'reigns' in the last stanza. It surely cannot be God because God created the cycle of life.

@kirthi.........

'I' refers to any person who's going through a tough phase.......and 'you' refers to the people 'I' hoped would alleviate his suffering.......
